E-Normally this story would involve a large group of people ...together....our delightful night was unique last night. Our Dad was invited on a shopping spree (due to his expanding waistband) and dinner with our brother. That announcement was made just moments before our brother arrived to avoid overwhelming anxiety to ruin the evening...and it worked...so they were off together...
My husband and son left for a lacrosse game and my other son had a rugby game. So...GIRL'S NIGHT for our Mom and me!! We didn't do nails or make prank phone calls but we did gossip a bit. I asked our Mom "do you miss Dad tonight" and she replied quickly "no not one bit" without flinching...complete poker face! I couldn't resist laughing ..and then she said "well he's being a real corker!" Here we go again with the extreme name calling!!
We shared some wine, watched TV and rehashed our combined hatred of the dog who seems to be having a flare up of the neurological disorder again. All of the men arrived home at once and reported their great night. Our Dad purchased four large pairs of pants, had a large meal with our brother and my boys both won large on their fields! It was a big night for all...and now April 28 is in the record books.
April 29 is underway and our tremendous morning caregiver is here so we can (hopefully) have another big day! J and I have our free monthly Sr Citizen lunch today to provide socialization for our community members.
